DIRTGRAIN Irish Whiskey

The Dirtgrain Manifesto Series is Blackwater's ode to Whisky as it used to be. This beautiful collection of four different bottles of 20cl each in gift packaging with accompanying booklet are the ideal gift for any Whisky lover or collector. Whiskies produced today are often strongly dominated in flavour by the flavour of the cask on which they enjoy their finish. A Sherry or a Port cask, for example. With the Dirtgrain Manifesto Series, the flavour of the whisky comes largely from the ''forgotten'' grains used for this, which makes these Whiskies absolutely unique.

The Whisky is produced from inspiring antique whisky 'mash bills'. Historic Whisky recipes in other words! A true fusion of the best of the Whisky of the past, using today's modern technology. The basic recipes date back to 1915 and older. The oldest recipe even comes from 1838!
 

Mash Bill #08 gives fruity notes of cereal and red berries, with hints of cocoa powder.

Mash Bill #15 offers notes of orange blossom, dark chocolate, accompanied by tropical hints of pudding with plums.

Mash Bill #38 is reminiscent of fruit orchards and pear, accompanied by back spicy hints of baked hazelnuts.

Mash Bill #93 is robust in flavour with notes of Sherry, leather, pepper and spicy 'peaty' smoke.
